I am Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years’ experience as a mental health and addictions counselor and over 10 years’ experience as a clinical supervisor. I utilize a person-centered approach to counseling which allows the individual to experience a sense of empowerment and involvement throughout the therapeutic process. I obtained my Bachelors Degree in Psychology from West Chester University and my Masters Degree in Community Counseling as well as an MBA from Alvernia University. I practice with a strong professional adherence to confidentiality and ethical guidelines.

I have experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, groups, and families from various cultural backgrounds and demographics. I believe our past experiences have a profound impact on our cognitive and behavioral functioning in the present. Many of us remain stuck in the unchangeable past when we should be living in the moment and working towards a healthier future. My areas of specialty include depression, anxiety, anger management, impulse control, problem solving/decision making, stress reduction, self-worth and self-esteem issues, chemical dependency, LGBTQ support, and psycho-social struggles associated with adolescent development.

In the client’s journey towards emotional, behavioral, and cognitive wellbeing I will guide them utilizing skills based in CBT, REBT, and DBT. However, I believe that establishing a positive, non-judgmental, and trusting relationship between client and therapist is the most important dynamic in the therapeutic relationship. I have a genuine passion for my work as a therapist as it is an opportunity for me to continue learning and growing both personally and professionally on a daily basis. I have gained a wealth of knowledge from the clients I’ve worked with over the years which is a testament to the reciprocity that occurs between client and therapist.
